Chili Cookoff

Beaver County Chamber of Commerce

RULES:

CASI Division:

CASI = Chili Appreciation Society International (www.chili.org)
We have to have 15 cooks in this class to have a sanctioned cookoff.
This division is basically chili from scratch....Meat & Spices only

You cannot use pre-mix chili seasoning packets such as Williams, or Will Fowler's 2 Alarm Chili, etc.
You cannot use any fillers such as beans, or hominy, etc.
The cook has to be at least 18 years of age.
Chili has to be cooked on site and in a sanitary manner.
Turn in time is @ 12 noon.
Cost is $20.00

Open Division:
It's wide open you could say. You can use your pre-mix spices, beans, etc.
Chili has to be cooked on site and in a sanitary manner.
Turn in time is @ 12 noon.
Cost is $25 if your cooking in this class ONLY. 


Cost is $40.00 to cook in both competitions


Showmanship Division:

This can be a cooking team.


We ask the cooks to cook at least 2 1/2 to 3 pounds of meat in each division, as it will take approx. 1 pound of chili to fill up your judging cup, and this will allow a little bit of extra for the public to come in and sample.
